On the Spot Award

This is a supervisory award program for supervisors to recognize employees from any department for demonstrating exceptional performance that goes above and beyond. Supervisors may nominate any city employee for an On the Spot Award for their contributions that align with the City’s mission, vision, values or strategic plans. Supervisors should read the Employee Service Recognition financial policy before submitting a nomination through this online form.

Urbie Award

This is a peer-to-peer recognition pilot program started by the Employee Ambassador Committee and led by the HR Department. It honors employees who demonstrate exceptional service, a positive attitude, and a commitment to helping residents, coworkers, and the community as a whole. Urbie Awards are not tied to employee compensation or performance records. Employees can submit a nomination through this online form.

Here's what to look for:

-Service that goes above and beyond expectations

-A moment of leadership, initiative, or problem-solving

-A display of kindness, patience and professionalism in a tough moment

-Collaboration that made a project or day run better
