Merle Hay Reinvestment District 28E Board
The Merle Hay Reinvestment District 28E Board serves as the applying entity for the Iowa Reinvestment Act on behalf of the cities of Des Moines and Urbandale. The Board implements the Iowa Reinvestment Act application projects for the redevelopment of the Merle Hay Campus.
Parks & Recreation Commission
The Parks and Recreation Commission develops and updates master plans related to parks and recreation facilities, spaces and activities.
Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission is responsible for the city's Comprehensive Plan, and reviews / recommendations regarding rezoning, variances, site plans, and preliminary / final plats.
Public Art Committee
The Urbandale Public Art Committee was created in 2008 to enhance the appearance of the City of Urbandale through the integration of art in the public environment.
The Tree Board consists of 5 members who must be residents of Urbandale.
