Severe Weather Event on Tuesday, May 21
At approximately 4:30 PM, Urbandale experienced a significant wind event, primarily affecting the eastern part of the city between Hickman Road and Meredith Drive.
Currently:
Our initial survey has revealed several streets blocked by downed power lines and trees. Urbandale’s Public Works Department has initiated their response and is actively working to clear debris and reopen blocked streets. All major roadways are currently open. No injuries have been reported.
