Effective July 1, 2022, Urbandale's solid waste fee will increase from $13.00 to $14.50 per month. The residential solid waste fee will continue to be billed through the Water Utility and will be included monthly on residential water bills. The residential solid waste fee includes weekly garbage collection, recycling collection, the annual Spring Cleanup event, and other special programs throughout the year.
This rate change is primarily due to the increased cost of collecting and processing recyclables.
