Join us at 6:00 PM at the corner of 152nd Street and Meredith Drive to dedicate the Community Open Space and sculpture. The City commissioned a gateway sculpture to be created by artist Seth Emerson Palmiter. The new sculpture will be placed at the entrance of Walnut Creek Regional Park.
Baby and caregiver will enjoy bouncing, singing, shaking, and playing together! Experience / practice counting, rhythm, body part identification, animal sounds, sensory stimulation, fine and gross motor skills, and more! We'll have 20-25 minutes of interactive programming, followed by an unstructured playtime where children and caregivers can play together and / or interact with peers. Dates & Time: Mondays June 6-July 25 (Closed July 4) @ 9:30 AM and the 2nd & 4th Saturdays in June & July @ 9:30 AM. Target age: 0-24 months, with adult. Our age recommendations tell you the developmental level we plan for, but every child is different. Feel free to try them out and choose the story time(s) that feel right. Everyone is welcome! Location: Meeting Room A/BRegistration is strongly advised as attendance will be limited, with slots given first to those registered.Please note: With health and safety in mind, this program will take place in our large meeting rooms, where we will make efforts to enable social distancing. We will provide family-sized mats for each family, spaced six feet apart.
Join us for fun, hands-on play at the library! Each week we will provide three stations of tactile, age-appropriate activities including art, toys, and simple experiments to engage your child’s sense of creativity, curiosity and discovery! Drop by any time during the program to play at your own pace.
