Library Events

  1. Music and Movement

    October 20, 2021, 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM @ Urbandale Public Library at Meeting Room A/B

Get your groove on and strengthen early literacy skills at the same time! We’ll read one book, but also do plenty of stretching, singing, dancing, rhyming, jumping, and even instrument play. You’ll have a blast helping your little one rock out.  Target age: 18 months -7 years old, with adult. Our age recommendations tell you the developmental level we plan for, but every child is different. Feel free to try them out and choose the story time(s) that feel right. Everyone is welcome! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wednesday of the month, 9:30 - 10:15 AM and 10:30 - 11:15 AM. (Registration is strongly advised as attendance will be capped at 40, with slots given first to those registered. Please choose one time per week.) Please note: With health and safety in mind, this program will take place in our large meeting rooms, where we will make efforts to enable social distancing. We will provide family-sized mats for each family, spaced six feet apart.
