The Urbandale Water Utility is collecting water samples from various points in the affected area. These samples are undergoing a thorough analysis to verify the quality and safety of the water. As an added precaution, we strongly recommend that residents continue to boil their water until further notice. Boiling is an effective measure to eliminate any potential contaminants. We anticipate being able to share the results of these comprehensive tests in the morning on Saturday, September 16.

A precautionary boil advisory remains in effect for those within the impacted service area. At approximately 2 AM this morning services were restored to property owners impacted by the water service disruption. Customers in the impacted area may experience air in their plumbing as the Urbandale Water Utility continues to flush hydrants and operates valves in the area. More information will be shared here when the boil advisory is lifted.
