The Engineering and Public Works Department issues permits for the movement of oversize or overweight vehicles on a public street within the City of Urbandale which exceed the maximum dimensions and/or weights specified in state law. All permits shall be in writing and shall be carried in the cab of the vehicle for which the permit has been issued and shall be available for inspection at all times.
