The City of Urbandale partners with the City of Clive, Goldfish Swim School, and YMCA of Greater Des Moines to provide aquatics opportunities at a subsidized rate for Urbandale residents. Learn more below:
Clive Aquatic Center: Urbandale residents can buy pool passes from the City of Clive at the same rate as Clive residents.

The City Council voted to permanently close the Urbandale Indoor Pool at its meeting on March 9, 2021, and the pool was demolished. The City issued refunds for all outstanding credits associated with the facility and its programs. Read a letter to the community here. The wading pool in Lions Park is also permanently closed.
