3rd Annual Cruisin' for Carter 5K Race & Kids Run

The “Cruisin’ for Carter 5K Race and Kids Run” is planned for Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. Set up for the event would begin at 6:00 a.m. and it is anticipated the event would be completed by 11:00 a.m.  The run will start and end at the Urbandale Middle School, with registration taking place in the Middle School Parking lot.  The event sponsor, Cadee Arroryo, has secured permission from the Middle School to use its parking lot for this event.  

The “Cruisin’ for Carter 5K Race and Kids Run” is a fundraising event for Carter Arroyo, a 5 year old who lives in Urbandale and suffers from Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Registration for the event will be $25, with 100% of the proceeds to be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF.) This is the third year for this event, and in 2016 the event raised over $3,000 for the JDFR.
