Sanitary Sewer Lining Program

The 2018 program will provide for the continuous lining of 7,469 linear feet of sanitary sewer mains at various locations.  The lines to be repaired were chosen based on a review of past television inspections.  Lining will be installed at: 

  • 3000 block of Melanie Drive
  • 3700 block of 67th Street 
  • 3800 block of 72nd Street 
  • 4100 block of 68th Street 
  • 4100 block of 83rd Street 
  • 7000 block of Prairie Avenue 
  • 7000 – 7100 blocks of Monroe Court 
  • 7300 block of Roseland Drive 
  • 7600 block of Roseland Drive 
  • 7600 block of Wilden Drive 
  • 7700 block of Dellwood Drive 
  • 8200 – 8300 blocks of Madison Avenue 
  • 8300 block of Winston Avenue 
  • 8300 – 8500 blocks of Airline Avenue 
  • 8300 – 8500 blocks of Ridgemont Drive 
  • 10300 block of Hickman Road

The total cost will be $172,632.80 and the low bid was awarded to Hydro-Klean, LLC.  The Urbandale Sanitary Sewer District has agreed to fund all repairs within its boundaries at an estimated cost of $130,517.40.  The Urbandale Windsor Heights Sanitary District has also agreed to fund the improvements within its jurisdiction, at an estimated cost of $42,115.40.  It is anticipated that this work would be completed by November 23, 2018.
