Urbandale Chamber of Commerce

A subcommittee of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, GenYP, provides young professionals in and around Urbandale with unique opportunities to connect with other emerging leaders through professional development and community outreach.

Members of the GenYP Community Service Committee manage the Let's Read Program at Olmstead Elementary. Volunteer opportunities are structured in teams of 4-5 volunteers who spend time reading to students in their adopted classroom. There are a variety of times and days available and it takes as little as 20 minutes. Most of the volunteering involves listening to students as they read and helping them sound out words and put together sentences.

If you are interested in getting involved with the Let's Read Program, contact Adam Kaduce at Kaduce.Adam@rrrealty.com.
